Wisconsin Pet Sitters Host Booths at Upcoming Pet Fairs

MILWAUKEE, WI –  The Professional Pet Sitters Association of Wisconsin (PPAW) is pleased to announce that they will be hosting booths at three Southeastern Wisconsin pet fairs in May— the Wisconsin Pet Expo on May 15 and 16 in Madison, the Humane Animal Welfare Society (HAWS) 21st annual Bark in the Park: A Walk for Animals on May 22 in Waukesha, and the Paws for a Cause event at Alverno College in Milwaukee on May 29.

The Wisconsin Pet Expo will be held at the Alliant Energy Center on May 15 and 16 beginning at 9 a.m. in Madison.  The Expo is set to deliver top quality demonstrations, presentations, entertainment attractions, and the latest products and services for pet owners and pet enthusiasts. More information on this event can be found at wisconsinpetexpo.com.

The HAWS festival, featuring food, contests, demonstrations, a dog walking fundraiser, and other entertainment will be held at Minooka Park, 1927 E. Sunset Drive, Waukesha, on Saturday, May 22, starting at 8:30 a.m.  Proceeds from this event benefit the HAWS adoption services. More information can be found at hawspets.com.

The Paws for a Cause event at Alverno College on 43rd and Morgan in Milwaukee kicks off on Saturday, May 29, at 11 a.m.  Animal services, demonstrations, food, and fun are just a few of the highlights of this first-year event. Proceeds benefit the Wisconsin Humane Society, Elmbook Humane Society, and Happy Endings.

The Professional Pet Sitters Association of Wisconsin was formed to promote the quality of pet care throughout Wisconsin by providing a support network for the individuals engaged in the pet sitting profession. Through regular meetings, educational sessions, a well-used message board, and participation in community events, the group is working to promote the many benefits of stay-at-home pet care.

More and more, pet owners are availing themselves to the multitude of services a pet sitter offers—customized care for pets in the safety and comfort of their own home. Services include keeping pets on their normal feeding, medication, and exercise schedules as well as meeting their emotional needs through individual loving attention and playtime. Pet sitters also ensure your home has a “lived-in” appearance by alternating lights and blinds, bringing in mail and packages, taking garbage carts to and from the curb, watering plants, and performing security checks.  There are more than 75 professional pet sitters located throughout Wisconsin.
